Smart Systems / Product Guide
Smart Home and Locks
Control that fits your routine, with attention to compatibility and secure access.
Supply and installation begin with a site survey and written specifications tailored to your project.
01 / Understand the System
Details to consider before you choose.
Smart-home solutions connect compatible devices such as lighting, shutters and controllers. Smart locks offer entry methods that vary by model. Some functions may work locally, while others require a network, gateway or cloud service.
Define the scope and supported devices before installation. Do not assume fingerprint access, remote control, platform support or a subscription is included without checking the specific device. Explain what happens during a power or network outage or when batteries run out.
Benefits and Applications
Set up daily routines using the chosen devices.
Manage entry methods and permissions where supported by the lock.
Reduce reliance on traditional keys while retaining a suitable alternative entry plan.
02 / Designs and Applications
Different settings. Considered solutions.
Typical installation examples to illustrate the possibilities. Select an image to enlarge it, then discuss the right solution for your site dimensions with us.
Lock on a suitable internal door
Review the door construction, lock and handle, and ensure modifications do not conflict with fire requirements or the warranty.
Room lighting control
Review load types and required wiring before selecting controllers. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Shutter control
Check compatibility between the operator and controller. Retain safety devices and an appropriate operating method if connectivity fails.
03 / From Preparation to Handover
Clear steps from the start.
Before Installation
- List the required devices and functions without assuming universal compatibility.
- Review the network, electrical provision and door condition as applicable.
- Identify the account owner, user permissions and privacy requirements.
- Explain subscriptions, outage procedures and alternative entry before purchase.
At Handover
- Test the agreed functions and authorised entry methods in practice.
- Transfer system administration to the owner and remove any temporary installation access.
- Explain battery replacement, alerts, updates and emergency procedures in accordance with the manual.
Dimensions, materials, models, performance limits, installation scope, timeframe, warranty and maintenance terms are defined in the approved quotation. This guide is general guidance and does not replace the installed product’s documentation or a technical site survey.
04 / After Installation
Use it correctly. Care for it simply.
Every Day
Handling and Operation
- Use strong, individual access codes and revoke guest access when it is no longer needed.
- Respond promptly to low-battery alerts and use the battery type specified by the manufacturer.
- Keep the alternative entry method secure somewhere you can still access if locked out.
As Needed
How to Clean
- Wipe the lock body and screen with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth as directed in the manual.
- Apply a compatible cleaner to the cloth, not directly to the lock.
- Dry immediately and keep liquids out of openings and sensors.
Protect the System
What to Avoid
- Do not spray or immerse devices in water, or use disinfectants or solvents unless the manufacturer permits them.
- Do not share the administrator code or leave installer access active after the work is complete.
- Do not change wiring or disable safe-exit provisions.
Do Not Ignore These Signs
When to Request Maintenance
- Lock failure, a latch that does not engage properly or unusual heat.
- Rapid battery drain, recurring disconnections or unrecognised access.
- Failure of the alternative entry method or a safety function.
Agree inspection and cleaning intervals with the technician based on the manufacturer’s instructions, usage, dust and humidity. Electrical work, dismantling loaded components and work at height require a qualified professional. Do not attempt these repairs yourself.

These references inform general care principles only. They do not imply that the named brands supply this product. The manual for the installed model and material takes precedence.
05 / Frequently Asked Questions
Before you decide.
Does it work without the internet?
Some functions operate locally and others need a connection. Check how each device actually behaves when the network is disconnected.
Is a subscription required?
Some services may require a subscription or an additional gateway. Model-specific costs and features must be explained in the quotation.
